This book echoes well with what I am undergoing: Initially, I was upset with a friend, and I wanted to forgive them which was difficult because I still felt angry with them for a few weeks. Yet, at the same time, I feel guilt eating me up because when I am unable to forgive another person, I see myself as a bad person. I wanted to forgive them immediately, but I couldn’t. When I speak to them, I feel all the pleasantries from me to be ingenuine and the anger buried in me re-ignited. I did not like it, but it was difficult to forgive them after what had occurred.
