Life doesn’t always go as planned.
Actually… it rarely does.

Sometimes it feels like you’ve slipped on one banana peel after another…

Illness. Loss. Money. Relationships.
Life has a way of piling things on.

This book is about what happens next.

Life doesn’t come with a manual… but it does come with a few banana peels.

This book has found its way into the hands of cancer patients navigating their own journeys… which means more to me than any number on a sales page.

Why Rainbows and Banana Peels?

Because life doesn’t stay perfect.

Sometimes you’re sitting on the rainbow… everything feels good, everything’s working, and you think, finally.

And then… you slip.

Those things are a lot more slippery than they look.

Next thing you know, you’ve landed flat. Usually when you least expect it, you trip on a banana peel.

And if you’re really lucky? You don’t just hit one, you end up in a whole field of them.

At some point, you realize there’s only one way out…

👉 You have to walk through it.

Step by step. Slip by slip. Lesson by lesson.

Until eventually… you reach the other side.

What This Book Does

Part memoir, part guide, and part “how did I get through that?”

This story draws from my own journey, including writing much of it on my phone during chemo, and shares what helped me keep going, even when things got hard.

It’s honest. It’s human. And yes… there’s humor in it too.

Because sometimes laughing is part of how we get through.

What You’ll Take Away

This isn’t about pretending everything is fine.

It’s about:

  • finding your footing when life knocks you down
  • shifting your perspective without forcing fake positivity
  • rediscovering strength you didn’t know you had
  • remembering that even hard seasons don’t last forever

Because there is a rainbow…

👉 sometimes you just have to walk through a few things to get there.
